Thirst Thoughts
By Uri Orlev
Zeltner Books, Israel 2013.
The story was written in 1952 by Uri Orlev. In subtle, poetic words, it tells the story of a kid arriving into a group of kids living together in a kibbutz. In quiet and accurate words Orlev brings the difficulties and moments of comfort experiences by the newcomer. The illustrations resonate the tranquillity of the text, and still give presence to the stormy feelings of the hero, a growing teenager seeking for a place among his peers.
